Hundreds of community members filled the streets of Scottsbluff to get to know their local law enforcement officers.
Law enforcement officers and area business spent the night out on Broadway in Scottsbluff celebrating "National Night Out".
Families enjoyed food, games and live entertainment, including the police K9 and Bruce the bomb robot demonstrations.
"National Night Out" is all about educating the community on crime and drug prevention awareness.
Local Mom, Julie Clark brought her kids and says, "I think it's important for kids to know who they can go to when they need help and see them in a situation that's a positive situation rather than because somebody's been hurt or something bad has happened."
All 50 states participate in America's night out against crime.
