Labor Day extra enforcement starting in Nebraska

The Nebraska State Patrol has started their efforts to crack down on drunk driving for Labor day.

The patrol partnered with the nationwide campaign "You Drink and Drive, You Lose" to raise awareness on the dangers of drinking and driving.

To keep citizens safe, troopers will conduct DWI checkpoints, as well as high visibility patrols.

The Nebraska office of highway safety donated a $27,735 grant to help fund the special enforcement needed.

The partnership with the campaign started on Friday and efforts will continue through labor day.
