Posted: Updated:

As lawmakers on Capital Hill are on August recess, one KOTA Territory senator goes to the people to talk about the issues.

U.S. Senator Mike Johanns will hold a series of "community coffees" in the panhandle during the next two days.

Johanns will talk about a variety of issues facing the country right now, including the economy, jobs, and the farm bill.

Johanns will also stop in Harrisburg to meet with an "Angels of Adoptions" family to commend them for their efforts.

Most of these meetings are open to the public.

On Tuesday, August 21st, Johanns will be in Scottsbluff from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Bluffs Business Center at 1517 Broadway. After that, the public in Kimball can meet with Johanns at the Kimball event Center from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. He will then round out his day at the Sidney Public Library from 4:30 to 5:30.

On Wednesday August 22nd, the U.S. Senator will be in Alliance at Newberry's at 402 Box Butte Avenue from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
