Final voting is tonight to decide whether or not to merge two of the valley's biggest museums.
Members from the North Platte Valley and Farm and Ranch Museums have until 7:15 tonight to vote on the merger.
Ten percent of the members from both organizations must vote in order for a quorum to exist.
Representatives from both museums say they're exited, after nearly a year of planning, the merger may soon become a reality.
"The vote tonight, we've had a couple votes of confidence with our members earlier this year, so we're anticipating this vote will also go positive," says Katie Bradshaw, Director of the NPVM.
"If this vote is a positive vote," adds Larry Hubbard, President of the FARM. "The next step starts early tomorrow morning is the building committee then will get together and start moving forward with making definite plans"
If enough votes for the merger are approved, the new museum will be dubbed "Legacy of the Plains" museum.
