With the Republican National Convention just days away... One KOTA Territory business owner says he's excited to make the trip down to Tampa.
Insurance agent Neal Smith says the R.N.C. is an event he looks forward to every four years.
During the 2008 convention, Smith was able to rub shoulders with presidential candidate John McCain.
He says he's humbled each year as being one of only 30-some-odd delegates from Nebraska's Third District invited to the convention.
Smith says the convention is a great time to learn from some of the parties leaders.
"So it's really an educational thing," says Smith. "It's motivational on finding out really what the platform is, reiterating on how critical are ideas are."
Once the convention is over, Smith says he will come back to Scottsbluff and begin a final push to campaign before the November presidential election.
