As presidential hopeful Mitt Romney begins his run for the White House ... One KOTA Territory man heading for the Republican National Convention shares *one* vision- energy independence.
Scottsbluff businessman Neal Smith says high energy costs are just part of the problem.
He says America has at least a 200 -year supply of coal energy. But Smith says we need to start thinking about other forms ... such as wind energy ... to keep costs down and jobs in America.
"Energy- we need to get energy costs down and we don't have to ship our jobs overseas," says Smith, "That's what seems to be the common thing to do now."
Earlier this week, Romney introduced his energy plan in New Mexico, calling for less federal oversight and more drilling.
"Tight oil," explains Romney, "That's oil that comes from places where you have to use fracking technology to help get it out, whether that's the Bakken Range in North Dakota or whether that's right here in New Mexico."
