Community members celebrate the grand opening for the new location of Capstone's child advocacy center.
The center provides services to victimized children in a safe, friendly environment.
Capstone opened its Scottsbluff location 12 years ago and has helped nearly two -thousand child abuse victims. But space was limited in Scottsbluff as the program grew.
"In 2005 we added two positions to the facility," explains Board Member Brian Wasson. "With our location in scottsbluff that just posed to be a little bit of a challenge for them to have adequate space to operate and advocate with families."
The new location in Gering provides more space and is a better location to continue to provide services to children and their families.
