Scottsbluff Public Schools to offer many programs this year to help students improve state test scores.
Scottsbluff Schools Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Mike Mason says they have a good plan to address the areas where students need improvements on the Nebraska State Assessment (NeSA) test.
The district will be offering tutoring and different focus-based intervention classes to help students become proficient before NeSA testing this Spring.
Mason says, "We're going to building this week sharing our data. Then our building principals and content area specialist will meet with teachers, look at grade level and building specific date, individual student data and then really target our instruction."
Most of Scottsbluff schools test scores were close to or above the state average.
Mason says most students need the most improvement in math.
