Panhandle Republican U.S. Senate candidate Deb Fisher got her chance to speak on the national political platform.
Deb Fischer told the nation today, she isn't the usual politician.
The Republican says running for Senator was never in her plans, but the record spending, unemployment and debt over the past four years changed her mind.
Fischer says there are only two options: to continue with the failed policies or to make the tough decisions and manage our country responsibly. "Most importantly we got government out of the way and we let the private sector do what it does best; grow our economy and create jobs. We've done it in Nebraska and I know we can do the same thing in Washington."
Fischer says she knows the nation can do better because Nebraska has done it.
