Wyoming House candidate let go paid staff

Posted: Updated:

A Wyoming Democratic U.S. House Candidate has let go most of his paid staff in order to keep cash for campaigning.

Casper College political science teacher, Chris Henrichsen won the uncontested primary election last week in a bid to unseat Republican incumbent U.S. Representative, Cynthia Lummis.

Henrichsen says he had to let his campaign manager go because he couldn't afford to pay the salary.

The Democrat says he won't replace a paid intern who left for college because he can use the funds for campaign signs and gas.

Heinrichsen has only raised about $18,000 dollars for his campaign compared to Lummis' $500,000.
