Scottsbluff Police amp up enforcement over Labor Day weekend

Local police step-up enforcement in an effort to keep Scottsbluff streets safe over Labor Day weekend.

The men in blue are working overtime looking for drunk drivers and other traffic violations as part of the nation-wide "You Drink, You Drive, You Lose Campaign"

Sergeant Philip Eckerberg says since August 17th police have arrested 9 drunk drivers, 7 people for driving under suspension, 7 for minor in possession and 5 others for drug violations.

Police say it's absolutely essential that people find designated drivers and wear a seatbelt at all times.
