Several departments in Scottsbluff County will have a lot less money to work with in their budgets this coming year.
Eight jobs are already eliminated at the Scottsbluff County Detention Center and there will be more cuts.
Budgets for the roads department will see a steep 12% cut and the Sheriff's Department is looking at a 6% reduction.
Scottsbluff County Human Resources Director, Jerry Crable says they're working on a bare bones budget.
Crable says, "We tried not to cut the essential services and it's a very difficult process. Its taken well over a month of hard work."
The city was $1.9 million dollars over the $0.50 maximum property tax levy.
