A nationally ranked football team is helping merchandise sales at one KOTA Territory business.
Mike's Husker Stuff is reporting strong sales early this season, thanks in part to Nebraska being ranked 17th nationally.
Owner Mike Pelster says a hot summer kept foot traffic to a minimum, but now that the season is underway, sales have been picking up.
Nebraska trounced Southern Miss on Saturday by a score of 49-to-20. Pelster says that when the Huskers are doing good... his business is doing good.
"Right now, we're excessively busy," explains Pelster, "I had a smile on all the way home last night, and it's really been fun. A lot of people picking up the new t-shirt designs we have this year. Flags are a big item this year; just people are excited I don't see anything wrong with our football team anywhere this year."
He adds that his concerns about Nebraska's receivers were eliminated after they snagged five touchdown passes during Saturday's game.
