Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol took 95 motorists off the road for Driving Under the Influence (DUI), during participation in the national "You Drink & Drive You Lose" campaign August 17- September 3.
The effort designed to remove drunk drivers from roadways encompassed the heavily traveled Labor Day holiday weekend. Troopers and Communication Specialists put in overtime hours conducting special enforcement efforts thanks in part to a $27,735 grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety (NOHS).

There were two fatalities recorded over the Labor Day holiday weekend in 2012 that compares with four fatalities in 2011.
