A coroner has determined that the official cause of death for a Torrington man found in an irrigation canal as an accidental drowning.

The Nebraska State Patrol was called out to the Pathfinder Irrigation Canal Monday to retrieve the body of 49-year-old Joseph Salazar.

Investigators are still trying to find the truck that Salazar was last seen in. The truck is a gold Ford F-150 registered to the Goshen County School District.

Anybody with information on the case is asked to call the Torrington Police Department at 307-532-7001.
