Colorado man charged with manslaughter in jet ski accident

A Colorado man, 36-year-old Andrew Schmidt is charged with manslaughter and reckless operation of a personal watercraft.

Police say Schmidt was driving a jet ski and slammed into a boat carrying five passengers on Lake McConaughy.

Keith County Attorney Randy Fair says 64-year-old Richard Caroselli died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Three others were also injured.

Schmidt will make his first court appearance on September 17th.

He has posted bond and was released from jail.
