5 people are dead after a chain reaction of accidents near Sidney over the weekend.

36-year-old Josef Slezak is being charged with four counts of felony manslaughter after his truck slammed into a car on I-80 yesterday morning.

Cheyenne County authorities were called to an accident where a semi-truck collided with another disabled semi-truck on the freeway.

One person died in that crash.

Police say the traffic back up from the first accident caused Slezak to slam into a Ford Mustang, forcing it to rear-end a Toyota Corolla and forcing the Corolla underneath the truck in front of it.

The names of the two adults and two juveniles killed in the second accident have not been released.

The Cheyenne County attorney has ordered autopsies on all the victims.

Slezak's court date has not been set yet.
