Courthouse assault lands Scottsbluff man in jail

A Scottsbluff man has a new series of legal troubles after assaulting a man at the county courthouse.

27–year–old Levi Wood and 64–year–old Thomas Halligan were leaving district court during a protection order hearing meeting last Friday.

Court documents say that Wood shoved Halligan, causing him to fall down the stairs and sustain injuries.

Wood was arrested on site and charged with third degree assault. Online court records show that Wood is already facing criminal charges for possession of K2.
