A Western Nebraska couple is honored in Washington, D.C. for being "Angels in Adoption".
Nebraska Senator Mike Johanns nominated the Whelchel family of Harrisburg as the 2012 Angels in Adoption.
The Whelchel's adopted four biological siblings and are in the process of adopting a fifth sibling.
All of the adopted children have physical, occupational and speech therapy needs.
The Whelchel's also host Camp Grace, a summer camp designed to help children with special needs achieve therapy goals.
Angels in Adoption is a program that honors those who've enriched the lives of foster and adopted children in the U.S.
