There's something new on the menu at McDonalds.
Monday McDonalds is adding a calorie count to both their drive-thru and in-store menus.
New regulations will require restaurants with 20 locations or more to post their calorie information, but the fast-food chain says it's voluntarily putting up calorie counts.
The Gering McDonalds Public Relations Representative says the choice to add calories to the menu will help customers make better decisions.
"They know exactly what we offer, they know exactly how many calories it is. And if they choose to make healthier choices - if they want a big mac or they want a salad, they have those options and know exactly what kind of calories are involved when they're ordering them."
McDonalds has 14,000 locations in the U.S. and all of them will be adding the calorie count to their menus.
