The Nebraska Tourism Commission wants to get the word out that the parks and attractions in Northwest Nebraska are open for business despite the recent wildfires.
Nebraska Tourism Commissioner Mike Kesselring says travelers should know that attractions in communities like Chadron, Crawford and Hay Springs are open and accessible.
Those attractions include museums, parks, forts, wildlife areas, golf courses and national monuments.
Kesselring says Chadron State Park visitors might see a change in scenery but will still find plenty of outdoor experiences.
Toadstool Geological Park and Fort Robinson State Park are also open for visitors.
