Vendors swarm for 4th annual Fiber Arts Fair

Posted: Updated:

Arts of all kinds come together at one KOTA Territory mall... but they're doing a lot more than shopping.

The fourth annual Fiber Arts Fair helped bring vendors from all across the region to share their passion.

Vendors were selling everything from fleece,  to dyed products, and even goat milk soap.

Organizers say the fair's main purpose is educating people of all ages about some of these lost arts. While these arts may be seen as lost to some...a new generation is keeping these traditions alive.

Event organizers are also encouraged that year after year, the fiber arts fair is expanding.

"We've gotten vendors from new states this year," says Melissa Robbins. "So we've got Missouri represented and also Iowa this year. And we just moved the location because we are still a new event. This is our 4th annual event and we're just trying to find the right location."

The Fiber Arts Fair has continually brought in crowds by the thousands each year... And organizers hope next year is even bigger and better.
