It was a record setting weekend for one of the Panhandle's biggest charities.
The 20,000 yellow rubber ducks floating down the North Platte River will turn into a lot of green for the agencies of the United Way of Western Nebraska.
At $5.00 a duck, upwards to $90,000 was raised during the 2012 Rubber Duck Dash.
That money will be used to help fund the 20 different agencies the United Way partners with.
Each year, charities submit a request for funds they need and United Way committee members decide if they can help out.
Special Events Co-Chair Marsha Sherlock says nearly all the money raised during this fundraiser will go back to the community.
"Yes, 99% of the money is given back to the agencies, the other 1% is used for operating costs."
A final push helped the United Way sell out of rubber ducks 30 minutes before the race got underway.
