Californians will vote on Proposition 37 in November, and their lead may be followed by other states like Nebraska.
The vote decides if GMOs will require a label and would stop companies from calling them natural.
Genetically Modified Organisms, or GMOs aren't required to be labeled in the U.S.
Nebraska Organic Farmer Beth Everett says she would vote yes.
"The other thing is I think that GMOs should be labeled and if gmos are so good for you then why don't they want them to be labeled?"
Everett says she hopes this proposition will be on Nebraska's agenda soon.
