A Nebraska State Senator is in hot water after prosecutors say she gambled with campaign funds.
State Senator Brenda Council pleads guilty to two misdemeanors for filing false campaign finance reports.
Prosecutors say the reports hid her gambling spree at casinos, which total more than $60,000.
The money came from campaign donations.
Bank records and casino security tapes show council took out more than $60,000 at casinos on several occasions.
She then deposited more than $36,000 back into her campaign fund.
Senator Council agreed to repay the $27,000 difference back to her campaign... And yesterday a judge tacked on an additional $500.00 fine.
