A KOTA territory bank takes down its Gering competition.

Morrill's Russell Excavation has demolished the Tier One Bank building off 10th street in Gering.

With the demolition comes Platte Valley Bank's purchase of the property.

But the new lot will cost more than a few bills, $225,000 to be exact.

Platte Valley doesn't have any banks in Gering, but they have one ATM a few blocks away from the Tier One building.

Platte Valley says they can't comment on the banks plans, but that the purchase is on public records.
