Scottsbluff Senator John Harms spends the morning meeting with constituents of his legislative district to see what's changed, and what still needs work.
Although the Nebraska Legislature doesn't convene until January, Senator John Harms wants to learn about the issues affecting the people of western Nebraska.
Today the senator visited the people living in the villages of Morrill and Lyman.
Harms says taxes remain a priority for his constituents. "I think at the top of the list for about every place that I go is our taxing and tax structure. That is always somewhat of an issue."
In his state of the state plan presented earlier this year, Governor Dave Heineman introduced a tax relief plan that lowers tax rates, reduces corporate income taxes, and eliminates the inheritance tax.
