The Scottsbluff Fire Chief sports a new-do, also for cancer research.
A $10,000 donation from 2 panhandle businesses and the fire department for children's cancer research, earns Fire Chief Dana Miller a clean shaved head.
The Fire Department, Taco-John's and Hair Designs came together to raise the money for the St. Baldricks Foundation.
Firefighter Anthony Murphy says it's important that people understand just how many children fight cancer, even right here at home.
"It's so important because childhood cancer effects so many people in the U.S. And most people don't realize how local it is even."
Murphy says Chief Miller agreed to shave his head if they met the fundraising goal, and they did.
