Minatare has added a new addition to its police force.
It's Jim Lawson's second day as a Minatare Police Officer and he says it's been an exciting couple of days.
The former Scottsbluff County Sheriff says he's a lawman at heart.
But says he's excited to get back out in the field and deal with everything from traffic accidents to barking dogs.
Lawson says, "As Sheriff, I made a point to work with all the cities and villages here in the county. Minatare was certainly no exception. I know the area and I certainly know the problems"
Lawson spent close to 40-years at the Sheriff's Department.
