Alliance pumpkin patch theft has owner scrambling for donations

The Grinch not only stole Christmas but he made a pretty good dent in Halloween as well.

Jo Gress of Alliance says someone stole 40 to 50 large pumpkins from her small garden that she had been growing to donate to local pre schoolers.

The basketball size pumpkins had mostly ripened and were taken from her yard along with some smaller ones days later.

Gress is hoping gardeners with extra pumpkins will share with her so the small children are not disappointed again this year after a bad crop in 2011.
