The City of Kimball will stay beautiful for another year, thanks to a sizeable grant from the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality.
A grant of more than 22-thousand dollars was awarded to "Keep Kimball Beautiful" to help finance the program for the upcoming fiscal year.
The grant also allots funding for the purchase of a document shredder.
The DEQ awarded $1.7 million in grants for waste reduction and recycling projects. Keep Kimball Beautiful was the only panhandle-based recipient out of 34 grants awarded.
