Vital pieces of medical equipment are being donated by the Scottsbluff-Gering Rotary Club to help a third world country.
A jaws of life extractor and a refurbished ambulance are being trucked to the city of Tuxtepec Mexico.
It may be hard to believe, but the city of more than a quarter - million people doesn't have an ambulance.
Rotary members say this project has been in the works for a long time, and received help from other rotary clubs to make this donation a reality.
"We all have local community and international initiatives. And if we can't fund and support them on our own, we try to team with other clubs," says former Rotary President Joe Schon.
"The thought that we can play a part in making lives better in a foreign country and saving lives is exciting," adds Mark Gillam.
Other donations being be shipped to Tuxtepec include firefighting equipment and a dental chair.
