Nobody likes paying bills… but the City of Scottsbluff is taking efforts to make it easier for people to so.
City Hall has always had a drop-box for people to make their utility payments. But this week, the city has installed a drive-through drop box so people won't have to leave their vehicle to make the payments.
City Manager Rick Kuckkahn says the new drop box is solely for added convenience, and more efforts are underway to make bill paying easier.
"We'll be working on some online efforts there as well down the road," explains Kuckkahn. "But at this point we put in a new drop box where you can sit in your car and open the door and drop the materials into that drop box."
And for those who still prefer human interaction, utility bills can still be made inside City Hall during normal business hours.
