25 Scotts Bluff County residents learn how to survive when disaster strikes.
The County's "Community Emergency Response Team" kicks off its weekend CERT- training course.
The 20-hour class covers a wide gamut of topics - ranging from basic first aid to search and rescue training.
Instructor Tyler Kleager says this training is invaluable in the event of a natural disaster.
"We're looking forward to it. It's a good opportunity for people to learn new skills. Learn how they can not only help their community, but help themselves. Help their families survive for 72-hours. That's what its all about."
Registration for the next CERT-training course is already underway... And you can learn more about this program by going to www.scottsbluffcountycert.org.
