Is your car safe for your kids?
Scottsbluff's biggest car safety event was held this weekend.
Technicians gave free car-seat checks, teaching parents how to install their childrens car-seats.
It was Scottsbluff's 11th year participating in Safe Kids Day at the Gering Civic Center.
Volunteer Nick Majernick says the event isn't just about safety on the road, it's about educating children how to live a safe lifestyle.
"Teaching kids not to smoke, drink. Safety with a bike like wearing a helmet and eating right, not drinking to much soda. Things of that nature."
Majernick says if parents teach their kids safety habits, it's the first step to living a *safe* lifestyle.
