Chadron's Saturday morning brought with it a stand-off.

At dawn Chadron Police responded to a home where a man was armed with two 11 in. martial arts knives.

21 year old Trenton Rattler threatened to cut and kill himself.

Police were able to get rattler to give up the knives and he was taken into protective custody.

Rattler was then taken to the Chadron Hospital for evaluation.
