Scottsbluff Rottweilers got some exercise today, and not just a walk in the park.
The American Rottweiler Club and American Kennel Club joined forces for the first sanctioned carting test.
Any breed is invited, as long as they can pull the 40 pound requirement.
More than a dozen Rottweilers kicked off the first round, with judges standing by.
In each level of carting, the winner's could be qualified for a national title.
Susan Deal says these dogs have a history in carting.
"The rottweilers have been around for a very, very long time. One of their jobs, way back was to haul the carts. And then the carts, and the big milk cartons to take them to the market. So that is actually one of their jobs."
Deal says the club hopes to have their second carting event next year.
