No charges yet filed in Saturday standoff in Chadron

No charges have been filed against the man who was involved in a two-hour standoff with Chadron Police over the weekend.

Police say 21-year old Trenton Rattler threatened to kill himself during the early morning standoff.

After several hours, police were able to take Rattler into custody and confiscate the two knives he was armed with.

Rattler was transported him to Chadron Community Hospital for further evaluation.

Lieutenant Rick Hickstein says as of Monday afternoon, no criminal charges have been filed against Rattler.
