Flu season is around the corner and medical professionals are urging people to stay ahead of the virus.
Regional West Hospital is hosting a series of flu shot clinics to help people in the Panhandle stay protected from the flu.
The first walk in clinic takes place Saturday, October 13th at Saint Mary's Plaza for anyone 6 months or older.
Regional West will accept insurance, medicaid, medicare or you can pay $30 for the shot.
Community Health Nurse, Paulette Schnell says, "Well one of the best things you can do it wash your hands, especially when you go out in public, before you eat. Those kinds of things and the other one is to get your flu vaccine."
There's also 2 by-appointment-only clinics on October 25th and November 15th.
