A KOTA Territory hospital beats out thousands to earn top marks from a major organization.
The Joint Commission recently recognized Regional West as one of the nation's top performer on key quality measures.
The hospital received 95% performance rankings in two areas: heart attacks and pneumonia.
Regional West President and CEO, Dr. Todd Sorensen says his staff has been working hard on increasing: quality, safety and satisfactions.
Sorensen says, "In both of those places we've raked really high in this go around and that's a nice recognition for the work we've been doing on that, to see that - that work is beginning to pay off."
Dr. Sorensen says the real recognition goes to the talented staff who delivers the services at the hospital.
