Scottsbluff County Commissioners reverse the temporary closure of a popular street.
Drivers may have noticed today East Overland from 21st Avenue to Highway-26 is open again.
Two weeks ago the Western Sugar Beet Factory requested to close the street for safety reasons during the harvest.
Commissioners voted to temporarily close the road until November first.
Last night the commissioners faced a room full of East Overland merchants who didn't agree with the decision.
Twin City Auto Owner Mike Valentine says the street shouldn't have closed.
"We all rely on the traffic and to close us off was a hardship and so we did show up at the meeting and voice our opinions."
Valentine says he's happy to have the road re-opened.
