A fire ban is partially lifted for people living in Goshen County.
The County Commissioners and Fire Warden have approved to de-escalate the full fire ban that has been in effect since June.
Despite the partial-fire ban, the move does not mean the fire danger is gone. Conditions remain dry and people are still asked to use extreme caution and practice fire safety.
Anyone planning to burn any debris is asked to call the Torrington Dispatch center to tell them when and where you plan to have a controlled burn, and let them know when it is extinguished.
