While the economy recovers slightly, car sales hit a bright spot.
The economy has only recovered about 1.3%.
But auto sales aren't hurting, as dealerships sold more than one million vehicles in September.
These sales are up 11% from September of last year.
Local dealers say inexpensive loans and fuel efficient cars could be cause for the increase in sales.
"Well I think one thing is, with the hail took out a lot of cars, people are buying new cars. And the other part would be there's plenty good interest rates available for people to have an easy low payment."
Kent Holub, with Team Chevrolet says he hopes sales stay steady through the winter months.
