Law Enforcement in Crawford Running Smoothly

It's been one year since the City of Crawford's Police Department disbanded.

Dawes County Sheriff Karl Dailey says the town is getting by just fine without it. In fact three deputies live in Crawford.

Before contracting with the sheriff's office the small town had a tough time retaining a Police Chief, going through seven Chiefs in just four years.

Dailey says the transition was smooth and believes deputies are making a marked difference in the communities.
