Chadron State College got a pleasant surprise when they hit one of they're highest numbers for student enrollment.

For the first time in 15 years C.S.C's fall enrollment has reached 3,000.

This year's enrollment is 2.15% higher than last year's.

This will mark the first time since 1997 the school has ended a term above 3,000 students.

Most of the growth represents the graduate student enrollment.

Students continue to sign up for courses the C.S.C says they're hopeful the enrollment number will continue to go up.
