A local group uses pictures to put together the past.
"Puzzles From the Past" is held at the North Platte Valley Museum on the second Friday of each month.
Participants gather together and put their detective hats on to identify buildings and people in the old photos.
Then they record their findings for the archive at the museum.
Program designer Gretchen Dieter says it's great to look back at the past.
"Some of the old buildings are exciting to see and finding friends in these pictures that we know that have either gone or moved away so now that information is preserved."
Anybody is welcome to help the puzzlers in their quest.
They are also looking for pictures to add to the archive.
