And of course, the runners needed some support this morning.
Family members, fans and spectators came out in force with signs, cowbells and smiles to cheer on the runners.
The support added to the atmosphere and gave runners the boost they needed to keep going.
"If they can do it, we can at least be out here to support them, so that's why we're here making obnoxious noises and cheering them on. It's a great fundraiser for the NCC foundation and a worthy cause and it's just great these people are willing to run!"
The fans lined different parts of the course, throughout the race.
