A local group in the Panhandle is doing their best to raise money for a disease that they know all too well.
"Surviving Beautifully" is designed to raise money for a cure against breast cancer. Models were featured throughout the program and shared their views on how the disease has changed their lives.
Doctors also shared their thoughts how research and procedures have changed throughout the years. The event's theme "One Step At a Time" speaks volume to the groups creators.
"Well for Karen and I, as survivors, it's a good day to celebrate because we are here. These are beautiful people and we've made it through that journey and you still have a good sense of humor and can enjoy your family."
