Two Panhandle cities will see some big bucks coming their way to fund new public projects.
Lieutenant Governor Rick Sheehy has awarded eight Nebraska communities with more than $2.7 million in Community Development Block Grant Funding.
The funding will be used for public works and water projects.
Sidney and Crawford are two of the cities chosen to receive upgrades.
Sidney is getting $350,000 to replace four blocks of streets, curbs and sidewalks along 17th Street.
Crawford will receive the same amount to replace its wastewater treatment plan, which has been in service since the 1930's.
