This year's Nebraska State Fair is kicking off.

Attendance from this year's fair reached 337,000 up 1% from last year.

The fair took place from August until September for the third time in Grand Island.

The Grand Island Independent did a survey of fair goers and found 65% of visitors who attended last year's fair thought this year's event was better.

92% of visitors say their time at the fair was good or excellent.
